How does this tournament format work?
In this tournament format, 60 teams first play a group stage in 30 groups. The teams are then divided according to their ranking into final groups of up to eight teams. Within these groups, they continue playing for the individual final positions.

Structure of the final rounds
After the group stage, the teams are ranked according to their finishing positions. The highest-ranked teams form the first final group, the next teams form the following final group, and so on. Each complete final group consists of eight teams and plays cross-over and placement finals to determine all eight final positions.

With 60 teams, 7 complete final groups of eight can be formed. A total of 56 teams continue through cross-over and placement finals. After this division, 4 teams remain.
The final four teams form a separate final group. Each team plays the other three teams. The final standings in this group determine positions 57 through 60. As a result, these teams play three matches after the initial group stage, just like the teams in a complete final group of eight.
